Ripple, the issuer of XRP, will newly invest $5 million (about ₩7 billion) in blockchain education in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

On the 10th (local time), Ripple announced on its official website, "Through the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), we are making an additional investment of $5 million in blockchain innovation in the APAC region." Ripple said, "This investment spans six countries including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore," adding, "It reflects our commitment to fostering next-generation blockchain talent and supporting world-class academic research."

Ripple's focus on the APAC region comes from its recognition of the rapidly developing digital finance ecosystem. Ripple emphasized, "APAC is the hub of digital finance where NeoBanks are most concentrated globally," adding, "Ripple's UBRI program is central to the growth of APAC's cryptocurrency and blockchain leadership."
