Summary

  • Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that there is a high possibility of mass approval for altcoin ETFs this summer.
  • Balchunas conveyed that, unlike Bitcoin, the scale of capital inflows into altcoin ETFs will not be large.
  • According to Bloomberg's data, the probability of approval for Solana (SOL) and Litecoin (LTC) ETFs is as high as 90% this year.

There is a claim that a large number of altcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) may be approved this summer.

On the 10th (local time), Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, said on X (formerly Twitter), "This summer will be the season for the approval of altcoin ETFs," adding, "Some basket-type products are also expected to be approved."

However, he did not express high expectations regarding inflows into altcoin ETFs. He stated, "Altcoin ETFs may attract some funds, but it is difficult to predict the scale," and added, "It will not be on the same level as Bitcoin (BTC)." He further mentioned, "The farther you move away from Bitcoin, the fewer assets there will be."

According to Bloomberg's latest data, there is a 90% probability that Solana (SOL) and Litecoin (LTC) ETFs will be approved within this year. The approval probabilities for XRP and Dogecoin (DOGE) ETFs were 85% and 80%, respectively.
