Trump: "Federal Court of Appeals Recognizes Tariffs Imposed to Protect the United States"

The United States Federal Court of Appeals has determined that the imposition of reciprocal tariffs is not considered an abuse of power.

On the 11th (local time), Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced via Truth Social, "Just now, the Federal Court of Appeals ruled that the United States can use tariffs to protect itself from other countries," adding, "This is an important victory for the United States."

Previously, the United States International Trade Court had ruled that President Trump's imposition of reciprocal tariffs exceeded his authority based on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). In response, the Trump administration filed an appeal.
