Summary

  • President Donald Trump expressed a positive response to Elon Musk's apology.
  • He did not make a clear statement regarding the possibility of a reconciliation between the two.
  • President Trump emphasized that he is currently focused on his political objectives.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, responded that he feels "good" about the apology from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. However, he did not take a clear position on the possibility of a reconciliation between the two.

According to the New York Post on the 11th (local time), President Trump said in a phone interview, "I think it was very good of him to do that." This was in response to Musk's public apology on X (formerly Twitter) the previous night, where Musk admitted, "Some of the posts I made about President Trump went too far."

Last week, via social media, Musk claimed that President Trump could not have won the 2024 presidential election without his help, and also raised suspicions that Trump blocked the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. The relevant posts have since been deleted.

President Trump had previously criticized Musk, saying he was suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

When asked about the possibility of reconciliation going forward, President Trump said on a podcast, "It's possible. But first we need to fix the country," emphasizing, "My only mission now is to raise the United States to an even higher level."
