Canadian multinational e-commerce company Shopify announced that it will support stablecoin payment functionality for sellers offering products on its platform.
According to cryptocurrency-focused media outlet CoinDesk on the 12th (local time), the payment will be processed in USD Coin (USDC) via the Base network.
Currently, the service is being piloted for a select group of sellers. From the end of this year, it will be expanded to include all sellers using Shopify Payments.
