On the 13th (local time), Iranian state media reported that Israel had launched an additional attack on Iran's Natanz nuclear facility. The Natanz nuclear facility is Iran's largest uranium enrichment site, located south of the capital Tehran.

According to AFP, Iranian state TV reported, "The Zionist (referring to Israel) regime has just attacked Natanz again."

It was further reported by Iranian media that new explosions were heard in East Azerbaijan, northwestern Iran, and a fire broke out at the airport in Tabriz.

Earlier that morning, Israel also launched airstrikes on the Natanz nuclear facility and major Iranian military sites.

In this attack, Iran's IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, and several top military officials and six nuclear scientists were reported killed.

Ali Shamkhani, who was the political, military, and nuclear advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, also died.
