Dunamu invests 38.4 billion KRW in information security over 4 years... Specialized personnel expanded more than threefold

Blockchain and fintech specialist company Dunamu announced on the 16th that it invested 14.8 billion KRW in information security last year, marking four consecutive years of increasing security investments.

On June 13, Dunamu disclosed these facts through its information security disclosure. According to the disclosure, since 2021, Dunamu has consistently increased its annual investment in information security and the number of dedicated personnel. In 2024, Dunamu's information security investment amounted to 14.8 billion KRW, which is 9.6% of its total information technology (IT) investment (154.3 billion KRW). This is significantly higher than the average ratio of information security investment among participating companies, which stands at 6.1%.

The investment scale has also expanded yearly. Dunamu's annual information security investments amounted to ▲5.7 billion KRW in 2021 ▲8.7 billion KRW in 2022 ▲9.2 billion KRW in 2023 ▲14.8 billion KRW in 2024, totaling 38.4 billion KRW over the four years.

The number of personnel focused on security has also steadily increased. As of 2024, Dunamu employs 33.6 dedicated information security staff, representing more than a threefold increase compared to 2021 (9.9 staff). Especially, between 2022 (13.3 staff) and 2023 (26.7 staff), the number practically doubled in just one year.

These proactive efforts to strengthen security have also been recognized by the government. In November of last year, Dunamu was selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT as an excellent institution for information security disclosure and received a ministerial commendation.

Jae-Yong Jung, Dunamu's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), stated, "Information security's real competitiveness comes from preparations made before an incident, rather than responses after the fact," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our security capabilities to protect customers' assets and to provide trusted services."
