- With greater security uncertainty, investors are advised to be cautious about the volatility of Middle East-related assets.
Intensification of Israel-Iran Military Conflict

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that due to the ongoing military conflict between Israel and Iran, it has issued a Level 3 travel advisory (recommendation to leave the country) for all regions of Iran from 1:00 PM on the 17th.
The special travel advisory (Level 2.5) previously in effect for most regions of Iran has now been raised to Level 3. The existing Level 3 travel advisory for some areas of Iran remains in place, so now the entire country of Iran is under a Level 3 advisory.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "Korean citizens currently staying in Iran should pay special attention to their personal safety, follow the guidance of the embassy, and leave the country as soon as possible. Those who plan to travel to this region are advised to cancel or postpone their trips."
The Ministry will continue to closely monitor the situation in the Middle East and take various measures to ensure the safety of Korean nationals.
As the armed conflict between Israel and Iran enters its fifth day, the two countries are engaging in bombings and missile exchanges using fighter jets and drones. On this day, Donald Trump, President of the United States, effectively issued an evacuation advisory—equivalent to a 'withdrawal order'—for Americans in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
