Iran has announced on the 17th (local time) that it will launch additional airstrikes against Israel using a large number of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
Kioumars Heydari, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces, said in an interview with Iran's state-run IRNA news agency: "Within the next few hours, a fierce attack will intensify, utilizing new and advanced weaponry."
He claimed, "Over the past day, hundreds of long-range drones with high accuracy and destructive power have successfully targeted and destroyed the weapons and strategic locations of the Zionist regime (Israel) in occupied territories such as Tel Aviv and Haifa."
Local Iranian media outlets continue to report on what they present as the achievements of Iran's recent airstrikes. Previously, IRNA claimed that Israel's Iron Dome air defense system had been hacked, and that there had been instances of missiles launched by Israeli forces misfiring and hitting Israel.
