Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues 'Departure Advisory' for all of Iran... Raises alert level for parts of Israel as well
Summary
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the issuance of a level 3 travel advisory (Departure Advisory) for all of Iran.
- It was stated that certain regions within Israel have also had their advisories raised to level 3 travel advisory.
- The travel alert levels have been raised amid ongoing armed conflict between Iran and Israel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a level 3 travel advisory (Departure Advisory) for all regions of Iran starting at 1 p.m. on the 17th, due to the continued armed conflict between Israel and Iran.
This is an upgrade from the previous special travel advisory (level 2.5) for some regions, while maintaining the existing level 3 advisory for other parts of Iran. With this measure, the entire region of Iran is now at level 3.
The Ministry also announced that, starting from 8 p.m. on the same day, a level 3 advisory will be applied to areas in Israel previously under the special travel advisory.
Existing level 3 and level 4 (Travel Ban) advisories for certain regions of Israel will remain in effect.
As the armed clash between Iran and Israel, triggered by Israel's preemptive airstrike, enters its fifth day, both countries have continued their engagement, exchanging intensive bombings and missile strikes with assets like stealth aircraft.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "We ask Korean nationals currently residing in Iran and Israel to pay special attention to their personal safety, follow directions from diplomatic missions, and leave the region as quickly as possible. Those planning to travel to these areas should cancel or postpone their trips."
