On the 17th (local time), according to Chinese outlet Sina Finance, JD.com Chairman Richard Liu said, "We plan to apply for stablecoin licenses in all major currency countries worldwide," adding, "Using these licenses, we aim to reduce global inter-company payment costs by 90% and improve transaction speeds to within 10 seconds."

He further explained, "Currently, corporate fund transfers take an average of 2 to 4 days," and added, "Someday, I hope that everyone around the world will be able to use JD Stablecoin for payments."
