Koscom announced on the 18th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DB Securities to jointly promote the token securities platform business.
This marks the sixth token securities-related agreement that Koscom has signed with a securities firm. Previously, Koscom has worked with Kiwoom Securities, Daishin Securities, IBK Investment & Securities, Yuanta Securities, and BNK Securities to accelerate the establishment of a joint token securities platform.
With this joint platform as a foundation, Koscom plans to focus on reducing the cost burden associated with building token securities systems for the securities industry, while also working to lower barriers to market entry.
DB Securities aims to enhance its digital finance capabilities by developing token securities products centered around promising real asset-based investments such as real estate, infrastructure, and alternative investments. Their strategy is to provide practical investment opportunities to small-scale investors through digital financial products that are easily accessible. By leveraging Koscom’s joint platform, DB Securities is also expected to secure a stable IT infrastructure.
Seungbeom Lee, Executive Vice President of Koscom, stated, "We plan to provide competitive infrastructure so that DB Securities’ token securities business can be promoted stably. Koscom will continue to take the lead in providing stable infrastructure for the token securities market, based on its experience in the capital markets."
Hyunil Jang, CFO and Head of Management Support at DB Securities, said, "Through collaboration with Koscom, we aim to introduce competitive token securities products to the market and grow as a leading securities firm in the token securities sector."
