It was found that Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel equipped with cluster munition (dispersion bomb) warheads.

According to local media such as The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post on the 19th (local time), the Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command confirmed that at least one of the ballistic missiles dropped in central Israel that morning was a cluster munition missile. Cluster munitions are weapons of mass destruction that contain up to hundreds of submunitions in a single warhead, which disperse at a certain moment and cause large-scale damage all at once in the target area.

The Israel Defense Forces analyzed that the cluster munition warhead used by Iran that day dispersed about 20 submunitions at an altitude of approximately 7km, scattering them within about an 8km radius. The Times of Israel reported, "One of the submunitions landed in a residential home area in Azor, near Tel Aviv, Israel, causing damage equivalent to that of a small rocket."

The Israel Defense Forces determined that about 20 ballistic missiles were fired from Iran just in the morning alone. As a result, dozens were injured in hospitals in the southern Israeli city of Be'er Sheva, among other places.
