On the 20th (local time), Cointelegraph X (formerly Twitter), a media outlet specializing in cryptocurrencies, reported that Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise, said, "Bitcoin's real competitors are not gold, but ultimate 'political' stores of value like U.S. Treasuries and government bonds."

He also added, "Gold and Bitcoin are alternative stores of value independent of politics."

Previously, Horsley emphasized through his own X that "The biggest obstacle for Bitcoin investors was regulatory uncertainty. But that is no longer the case now."
