The US Senate Banking Committee's Digital Assets Subcommittee held a hearing to discuss market structure, but it was revealed that more than half of the members did not attend.
According to a Cointelegraph report on the 25th (local time), the hearing was convened to explore the bipartisan legislative framework for digital asset market structure. However, only 5 out of the 11 subcommittee senators attended, during which questions regarding regulation were addressed to industry experts such as former CFTC chair Rostin Behnam, Coinbase Vice President of Legal Ryan VanGrack, and Multicoin Capital Chief Legal Officer Greg Xethalis.
Subcommittee Chair Cynthia Lummis expressed regret, saying, "There were many other committees happening at the same time."
