Hana Bank has also reportedly filed trademark applications related to stablecoins. This makes it the third, after KakaoBank and KB Kookmin Bank.

According to industry sources on the 25th (local time), Hana Bank has filed applications for 16 trademarks, including HanaKRW and KRWHana. This move is seen as a proactive response to the Korean won stablecoin market. In addition, Hana Bank plans to join the stablecoin consultative body through membership in the Open Blockchain and DID Association.

Meanwhile, on the same day, KB Kookmin Bank also filed various stablecoin trademark applications, including KBKRW, KRWKB, KRWST, and KBST.
