According to CNN on the 26th (local time), Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, stated, "There are no plans to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States."

Minister Araghchi emphasized in an interview with Iran's state broadcaster IRINN that, "There has been no agreement or commitment regarding the resumption of talks with the United States, nor has there been any discussion on this matter."

He remarked, "In past negotiations with the United States, we had the painful experience of them breaking their promises," and noted, "Such experiences will clearly impact our future decisions."

However, he added, "The final decision will not be based on emotions or temporary considerations, but will be made with the welfare of the Iranian people as the top priority."

Minister Araghchi also addressed recent speculation on backchannel contacts, drawing a line by stating, "Iran's internal review is strictly a separate matter for Iran's interests and is unrelated to official negotiations."
