On the 27th (local time), Blockbit, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets (cryptocurrencies), reported, citing multiple sources, that "the administration is working on executive actions that will facilitate power grid connections for power plants and utilize federal land for building data centers." This measure is focused on securing the physical infrastructure needed for the widespread adoption of AI technology.
It is reported that the executive order will include: ▲ granting priority for power grid connection to high-maturity power projects; ▲ provision of federal land under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense and Department of the Interior; ▲ introduction of a nationwide unified 'Clean Water Act' procedure for data center permits.
Meanwhile, it has become known that the White House is also considering designating July 23 as 'AI Action Day.'
