On the 27th (local time), according to The Block, a media outlet specializing in cryptocurrency, the mobile stock and digital asset trading platform Robinhood announced the launch of micro futures contract products based on Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP), and Solana (SOL).

Micro futures are small-scale futures contracts designed to allow investment in or hedging of the price volatility of various assets such as stocks, indices, commodities, and currencies, while requiring relatively lower capital and risk compared to standard futures.

Earlier this year, Robinhood introduced a variety of derivatives for the first time, including foreign exchange, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrency futures.

The first cryptocurrency futures products featured Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH), with the lineup later expanding to include XRP and Solana.
