Donald Trump, President of the United States, and Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, are scheduled to hold a phone call on the 3rd (local time).

President Trump announced on his social media, Truth Social, "I am scheduled to speak with President Putin today at 10 a.m. (U.S. Eastern Time)." President Putin also stated at an exhibition in Russia that day, "I will be talking to the U.S. President today."

President Trump and President Putin have previously spoken by phone five times since the start of Trump’s second term in January. The most recent call took place on the 15th of last month, focusing on the Israel-Iran conflict and negotiations regarding Ukraine.

In this upcoming call, negotiations for a Ukraine war ceasefire are expected to be a main agenda item. President Trump has repeatedly criticized President Putin for not cooperating with his efforts to mediate a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Reuters, citing sources, reported that President Trump is also likely to speak with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, on the 4th.
