Summary

  • In the first half of this year, the number of Bitcoin millionaire wallets increased by 26,758.
  • Institutional demand rose again after the launch of the Bitcoin spot ETF and the halving.
  • The increase in high-value wallets suggests the possibility of a bullish market in the second half of the year.

Over 26,000 new Bitcoin millionaire wallets emerged in the first half of this year.

On the 2nd (local time), cryptocurrency-focused media outlet Finbold reported, "From January 1 to June 30 this year, the number of wallets holding more than $1 million in Bitcoin increased from 155,569 to 182,327, a rise of 26,758." This is considered the most robust accumulation level since the bull market of 2021.

In fact, in the first quarter the number of millionaire wallets decreased by 13,942, but in the second quarter it increased by 21,589. During the same period, whale addresses holding more than $10 million also grew by 5,169.

The publication analyzed, "The sharp increase in high-value wallet addresses shows that strong buying pressure flowed in during the early-year downtrend. Renewed institutional demand following the halving and the launch of the US Bitcoin spot ETF also supports this. This indicates the potential for a strong market in the second half of the year."
