In a recent poll, 40% of respondents said they would support Tesla CEO Elon Musk if he formed a new political party.
According to the latest survey by the U.S. polling firm Quantus Insights, conducted on the 6th, there was somewhat greater positive sentiment toward the idea of Musk founding a third party. Among respondents, 14% answered that they were "very likely" to support or vote for a party created by Musk, while 26% said they were "somewhat likely" to do so.
On the other hand, 38% of respondents said they "would not likely support (Musk)," and 22% said they were "not sure."
On the 5th, Musk announced the founding of the 'America Party' on his X account, stating, "By a 2 to 1 margin, you wanted a new party." However, according to the New York Times (NYT), Musk has not submitted any official documents for the new party. Establishing a new political party requires filing with the Federal Election Commission.
This Quantus Insights poll was conducted on 1,000 registered voters from the 30th of last month to the 2nd of this month, with a margin of error of 3%.
