In the past 24 hours, the total liquidation volume of positions in the cryptocurrency perpetual futures market reached $167.91 million.

According to CoinGlass data on the 8th (local time), a total of $167.91 million worth of futures positions were liquidated in the crypto market over the last 24 hours. As Bitcoin (BTC) faced a decline before surpassing $11, liquidation of long (buy) positions was greater. Specifically, $121.65 million worth of long positions and $46.25 million worth of short positions were liquidated.

The asset with the largest liquidation volume was Bitcoin. Bitcoin saw $35 million in liquidated positions over the 24-hour period, with $31.11 million from long positions and $3.89 million from short positions. During the same period, Ethereum (ETH) recorded $32.24 million in liquidations, placing it second. Of this, $23.93 million were long positions and $8.32 million were short positions.

As of 3:40 p.m., according to Binance USDT market, Bitcoin and Ethereum were down 0.69% and 0.70%, trading at $108,209 and $2,552 respectively.
