KOSPI climbed for the third consecutive day on the 9th, setting a new intraday high.

As of 2:13 p.m., KOSPI stands at 3131.75, up 16.7 points (0.54%) from the previous day.

The index opened at 3123.22, up 8.27 points (0.27%) from the previous session, showed slight fluctuations, then gained more ground in the afternoon. At one point during the session, it soared to 3137.17, marking a new yearly high in just six trading days since the 1st.

During intraday trading, it rose as high as 3137.17, setting another yearly high for the first time in 6 trading days since the 1st. This is the highest level in about 3 years and 9 months since September 27, 2021 (3146.35).

Currently, in the main stock market, Samsung Electronics (-1.14%), KB Financial Group (-3.11%), and Doosan Enerbility (-2.63%) are declining, while Hanwha Aerospace and SK Square are showing strong gains around 4%.
