  • He forecasted that President Trump is highly likely to withdraw or ease tariff policies.
  • Hayes emphasized that it is now time to "back up the truck," meaning it’s a moment for large-scale buying.

Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, presented an optimistic outlook, stating that Bitcoin's bullish momentum will lead to a full-fledged altcoin season.

On the 11th, Hayes shared via X (formerly Twitter), "In my previous comments, I took a somewhat bearish stance due to concerns that the government would collect taxes, which would decrease market liquidity, but the situation has completely changed now." He evaluated, "Bitcoin has reached an all-time high with strong trading volume, and Ethereum is following suit, signaling relatively larger gains."

Notably, he expressed his expectations, saying, “The market anticipates that President Trump will 'TACO' on tariffs.” Here, 'TACO' is a newly coined term meaning 'Trump Always Chickens Out', humorously suggesting that President Trump will ultimately withdraw or relax his tariff policies.

Hayes added, “If that’s the case, now is the time to back up the truck (the time for large-scale buying),” and noted, “The Maelstrom Fund is significantly expanding its positions.”
