US Secretary: "High possibility of Trump-Xi summit... No date discussed"

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that there is a high possibility of a summit between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping of China.
On the 11th (local time), Secretary Rubio said this after meeting with Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers' Meeting and ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Foreign Ministers' Meeting were held.
This meeting marked the first face-to-face talks between the top diplomats of both countries since the launch of Trump’s second term.
Secretary Rubio emphasized, "President Trump and President Xi are maintaining a 'very positive working relationship'," and said, "The US and China must have engagement and communication."
However, he added that he and Director Wang did not discuss the schedule for the summit between the two leaders.
He further stated, "We had a very constructive meeting with Director Wang," but noted that "there are still issues to be resolved on both sides."
