Negative approval rating for Trump’s job performance reaches 55%… highest since the launch of his second term

Negative approval at 43% at inauguration

Negative evaluations of President Donald Trump's administration have reached their highest level since the beginning of his second term.
According to The Hill on the 15th (local time), a poll conducted by The Economist and YouGov of 1,680 American adults found that the negative approval rating for President Trump’s job performance was 55%, about 2 percentage points higher than last week (53%). This is the most negative opinion poll result since President Trump’s inauguration in January.
At the time of inauguration, Trump's negative rating was 43%, while his positive rating stood at 49%. The positive approval rating for President Trump’s job performance declined slightly from 42% last week to 41% this week.
Nevertheless, Republican supporters continued to back President Trump. Among Republicans, the approval rating for Trump was 92%, which shows little change compared to the early part of his term (94%).
For Vice President JD Vance, 51% of respondents said they felt unfavorable toward him. Also, 44% said Vice President Vance is not qualified to be president, while 40% thought he was qualified.
Additionally, regarding the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 after being arrested on charges of child sexual exploitation, 79% of respondents said the government should release all documents related to the case. In particular, 82% of Democratic supporters believed the government is concealing evidence regarding Epstein.
Currently, in the United States, conspiracy theories are spreading that Epstein compiled a list of high-profile political and business officials who participated in sex parties and that his death was not suicide, but murder. 40% of respondents suspected President Trump of being personally involved in Epstein’s crimes.
Meanwhile, regarding the recent Texas flood disaster that resulted in massive casualties, 38% of respondents gave a negative evaluation, saying 'the government’s response was poor.'
