According to GlobeNewswire on the 16th (local time), Matador stated in a press release, "We have adopted a management strategy to accumulate up to 6,000 BTC by 2027" and added, "Initially, we plan to secure 1,000 BTC by next year." Furthermore, the company said, "In the long term, we aim to possess 1% of the total Bitcoin supply and rank among the global top 20 companies holding Bitcoin."
Matador also emphasized that the goal of accumulating 6,000 BTC is achievable. The company explained, "We could secure about 5,934 BTC through the CAD 900 million fundraising," and added, "In this case, holding 6,000 BTC by 2027 is fully possible." They further stated, "We are also reviewing various fundraising methods for Bitcoin purchases."
Currently, Matador holds 77.4 BTC.
