Taiko (TAIKO), an Ethereum (ETH)-based Layer 2 network, announced on the 24th that it has introduced the preconfirmation (Preconfirmation) feature to its mainnet.

The preconfirmation feature is a technology that allows nodes registered on the whitelist to provisionally confirm transactions, thereby enhancing user application interactions. It is a solution developed to address the transaction processing delays inherent in Layer 1, and to build infrastructure with traceability and low latency, targeting the growing demand for the on-chainization of institutional finance.

With this upgrade, Taiko plans to expand its business into the Real World Asset (RWA) sector. In this process, Taiko will collaborate with SuperFi, a company specializing in onboarding RWAs and financial institutions. The two companies intend to build an integrated infrastructure that supports asset issuance, custody, and cross-border settlements, and to fully support the on-chain entry of global financial institutions. Within the infrastructure, a diverse range of financial products, such as securities, bonds, and stablecoins, will be operable.

Additionally, Taiko is also in discussions with many global financial institutions and brokerages. Through this, it expects to expand its support scope to global mainstream assets, including United States and Hong Kong stocks.

A Taiko representative stated, "This new preconfirmation feature will be a catalyst for breaking down the boundaries between the digital asset market and traditional finance," adding, "Together with SuperFi, we will provide the expressway for next-generation capital market access."
