On the 24th (local time), former U.S. President Donald Trump announced via his social media platform 'Truth Social' that he plans to visit the $3.1 billion (about ₩4.3 trillion) renovation site of the Federal Reserve's (Fed) headquarters in person.

President Trump stated, "Now that the Fed construction project has exceeded $3.1 billion, I will be heading to the site to take a look," adding that Jerome Powell, the Fed Chair, Senators Tim Scott and Thom Tillis, Russ Vought, Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the chairpersons of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, James Blair and Will Sharpe of the National Capital Planning Commission, as well as various construction experts, will join the inspection.
