It has been assessed that the United States is now reaching a pivotal turning point in the field of virtual asset (cryptocurrency) policy, moving past its previous stagnation.

According to Cointelegraph, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets, Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming appeared on her podcast and stated, "Last week was a historic 'Crypto Week' in Congress," adding, "The legislative efforts we have prepared are now truly bearing fruit."

Senator Lummis cited two major milestones: the GENIUS Act, which allows payment stablecoins and has become official law after President Trump signed it, and the CLARITY Act, which provides legal clarity for digital assets and has been submitted to the Senate.

She explained, "This progress did not happen suddenly, but is the result of four years of continuous feedback and coordination with the industry to refine the drafts," adding, "We went through extensive listening and revisions to secure bipartisan support."

Senator Lummis also emphasized that the digital asset bill currently discussed in the Senate could serve as a practical standard for distinguishing between securities and commodities through the concept of 'ancillary assets.'

She added, "President Trump has made it clear that he wants to make the United States a hub for digital assets," and, "The foundation to support relevant laws, regulations, and industries will soon be in place."
