On the 25th (local time), according to The Block, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets (cryptocurrencies), SharpLink Gaming, which has adopted Ethereum (ETH) as a strategic reserve asset, officially announced that it has appointed Joseph Chalom, who led digital asset strategy at BlackRock, as its Co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

During his time at BlackRock, Joseph Chalom developed digital asset-related products and helped expand institutional investor participation through collaborations with Anchorage Digital Bank, BNY Mellon, Circle, and Coinbase.

He stated, "I am proud to have launched some of the world’s fastest-growing exchange-traded products (ETPs) such as IBIT and ETHA, and played a bridging role between traditional finance and the digital asset ecosystem through the tokenization project 'BUIDL'."

Joseph Lubin, Co-Founder of Ethereum and Chairman of SharpLink Gaming, commented, "The appointment of Joseph Chalom is a signal of strong confidence in SharpLink Gaming’s Ethereum treasury strategy and vision for digital economic innovation."

SharpLink Gaming is currently known to hold approximately $1.3 billion worth of Ethereum.
