U.S. crypto-focused media outlet Cointelegraph announced on its official X account on the 27th (local time), “El Salvador is still purchasing Bitcoin daily,” adding, “Current holdings stand at 6,250 coins, amounting to approximately $739 million (about ₩1 trillion).”
El Salvador became the world’s first country to officially adopt Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021. The country is reported to be steadily expanding its domestic Bitcoin payment infrastructure.
