This round of negotiations marks the third high-level US-China trade meeting this year, following previous talks in Geneva, Switzerland on May 10–11 and in London, United Kingdom on June 9–10.
In particular, if the grace period for imposing high tariffs is additionally extended by 3 months, the tariff truce between the two countries is expected to likely last until November.
