Global blockchain venture capital Hashed announced on the 4th that it participated in the seed round investment of blockchain infrastructure startup Subzero Labs.

Subzero Labs is a blockchain startup co-founded by Ade Adepoju and Lu Zhang, former engineers at Mysten Labs, the developers of Sui.

This seed round was led by Pantera Capital, with global investors such as Hashed, Coinbase Ventures, and Mirana Ventures participating. The total amount raised reached $20 million (approximately ₩2.76 billion).

Simultaneously with this investment, Subzero Labs unveiled the next-generation decentralized infrastructure network 'Rialo'. Rialo is designed as a real-time, responsive network that overcomes the complexity and low usability of existing blockchains and enables the building of Internet-scale applications. It particularly focuses on providing a Web2-level user experience and offers infrastructure with native web connectivity, event-driven transactions, built-in privacy, and infinite scalability.

Additionally, Rialo provides compatibility with the Solana VM through a RISC-V architecture based on open source, allowing development using existing programs created for Solana.

Baekkyum Kim, partner at Hashed, said, "I was impressed by how Rialo naturally implements off-chain interactions to deliver a Web2-level user experience, while enabling applications to be built without the need to be conscious of the complex blockchain environment," and added, "I believe that, since proven talents are fundamentally redesigning existing limitations, there is sufficient potential for it to lead the next-generation blockchain infrastructure."
