It has emerged that National Rally (RN) is discussing the introduction of a bill that would utilize surplus energy from nuclear power plants for Bitcoin (BTC) mining.

According to Cointelegraph on the 4th (local time), National Rally leader Marine Le Pen stated, "We support the use of idle nuclear energy for Bitcoin mining and are working to advance a plan to convert surplus electricity into a safe and profitable digital asset."

Le Monde reports that National Rally lawmaker Aurélien Lopez-Liguori has also proposed a draft bill to install mining infrastructure in facilities operated by Électricité de France (EDF). Representative Lopez stated, "We want to use mining infrastructure to ensure none of the energy produced is wasted."
