As of 9:20 a.m. on the 6th, Samsung Electronics was trading at 68,850₩, down 1,050₩ (1.5%) from the previous day, while SK Hynix was being traded at 259,000₩, down 4,500₩ (1.71%).

On the 5th (local time), Trump stated in an interview with CNBC, "We will announce the imposition of tariffs related to semiconductors within the next week," and added, "We want semiconductors to be made in the United States as well."

Following these remarks, semiconductor stocks also showed weakness overnight in the New York Stock Exchange. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell by 1.12%.

On the other hand, Intel, which owns factories in the U.S., rose 3.54%.
