Laser Digital of Japan obtains Dubai cryptocurrency license… "OTC trading permitted"

Japanese cryptocurrency company Laser Digital has obtained a new cryptocurrency license in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to CoinDesk on the 6th (local time), Laser Digital recently acquired a restricted license in Dubai for providing cryptocurrency over-the-counter (OTC) options services. Laser Digital is a cryptocurrency subsidiary of global investment bank (IB) Nomura.
Laser Digital plans to initially offer medium-term options settled under International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) contracts. A representative from Laser Digital stated, "With the acquisition of the license, we have become the first company to provide cryptocurrency OTC options services regulated by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA)."
