According to on-chain analytics firm Nansen, on the 7th (local time), with this purchase, Sharplink Gaming's total Ethereum holdings have risen to 532,914 ETH, with an estimated value of about $2.07 billion (approx. ₩2.85 trillion).
This large-scale purchase impacted the price of Ethereum as well. On this day, Ethereum recorded a 5.97% increase from the previous day, reaching $3,901 on the global cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
Previously, Sharplink Gaming secured a new funding of $200 million (approx. ₩280 billion) to acquire Ethereum. At that time, Sharplink stated, "We raised a total of $200 million through a direct listing funding at $19.5 per share," adding, "The entire amount will be used for Ethereum acquisitions."
