On the 9th, on-chain analyst EmberCN, citing Arkham Intelligence data, announced, "A whale wallet address sold 3,280 ETH (about $13.38 million) two hours ago. The total return is about 288-fold."
This wallet withdrew and stored 3,865 ETH from the Kraken exchange in early 2017, with the purchase price known to be about $13 per ETH and a total of about $50,000 at the time.
Additionally, this whale gradually disposed of 565 ETH during the holding period, but kept the majority for the full 8 years. This sale took place when ETH was priced at $4,079.
