John Bolton, who served as the White House National Security Advisor during Donald Trump's first administration, harshly criticized President Trump's diplomatic achievements, stating, "He wants the Nobel Peace Prize." On the 10th (local time), former adviser Bolton appeared on ABC News and commented on President Trump's recent mediation of global disputes, saying, "I don't think he has actually changed the situation." Regarding the opinion that President Trump played a significant role in mediating the ceasefire process after the armed conflict between India and Pakistan last May, he claimed, "Many Indians were angered by his attempt to take credit." As for the mediation between Thailand and Cambodia last month, he added, "He simply threatened to impose tariffs unless they signed the agreement," and "they signed, but nothing changed." He emphasized again, "President Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize more than anything else," and called it "a way to capture his attention."

Recently, leaders of various countries have been recommending President Trump as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, in an effort to improve relations with the United States. Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, and Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, announced at the White House on the 8th of this month that they would jointly nominate President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after signing a peace declaration.

Previously, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, delivered a copy of the recommendation letter sent to the Norwegian Nobel Committee to President Trump during a dinner at the White House.
