According to The Washington Post on the 11th (local time), President Trump told reporters after a crime prevention press conference held at the White House in Washington, D.C., that he would tell Putin, "You need to end this war."
He continued, stating, "After the meeting with President Putin, the next step will be a meeting between President Zelensky of Ukraine and Putin, and if necessary, I will also attend," emphasizing, "I want to arrange talks between the two leaders."
He also mentioned the possibility of discussions regarding territorial swaps or border changes between Russia and Ukraine, adding, "After confirming Putin's thoughts, if I determine it's a fair deal, I will share it with the EU and NATO leaders as well as President Zelensky."
However, he said, "It is not my role to finalize an agreement," adding, "I want a ceasefire, and I hope for the best agreement possible for both sides."
