Vietnamese Government Visits Upbit…"Collaboration on Establishing an Exchange"

The Vietnamese government visited Upbit, the largest domestic cryptocurrency exchange.

On the 12th, Upbit's operator Dunamu announced that Nguyễn Văn Thắng, Vietnam's Minister of Finance, Phan Văn Giang, Vietnam's Minister of National Defense, and Vũ Thị Chân Phương, Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, visited the Upbit Lounge located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Vietnamese government officials inspected the cryptocurrency exchange systems at the Upbit Lounge.

Dunamu gave a presentation to the Vietnamese side about its own exchange regulatory system and operational know-how. Dunamu also explained Upbit's wallet, security, and trading systems.

The visit of high-ranking Vietnamese officials to Upbit was for the purpose of building their own country's cryptocurrency exchange. Military Bank (MB Bank), under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, is planning to establish a Vietnamese cryptocurrency exchange in collaboration with Dunamu.

Dunamu plans to actively cooperate in establishing the Vietnamese cryptocurrency exchange system. Kim Hyung-nyun, Vice Chairman of Dunamu, said, "We will provide Upbit's technology and operational expertise so that Vietnam, with high growth potential, can take the lead in the digital finance sector." Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of Dunamu, stated, "We will actively support Vietnam in building an exchange model optimized for a regulated market."

The Vietnamese side also expressed anticipation. Minister Nguyễn Văn Thắng said, "Dunamu can provide significant assistance as Vietnam builds its cryptocurrency laws and institutional frameworks."
