Death toll approaches 62,000 since the war… 227 have starved to death, including 103 children

As Israel escalated the intensity of its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, at least 89 Palestinians lost their lives in the past 24 hours.

According to The Guardian and other foreign media on the 12th (local time), Gaza's civil defense authorities stated that after the Benjamin Netanyahu cabinet approved the policy to expand occupation in the Gaza Strip, Israeli airstrikes have become even more intense over the past three days.

Foreign reports tallied that at least 89 Palestinians died between the 11th and 12th due to these airstrikes. In northern Gaza, at least 15 residents were killed while standing in line to receive food rations.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, since October 7, 2023, a total of 61,599 Palestinians have died and 154,088 have been injured as a result of Israel's war on Gaza.

Due to Israel's strict control, relief supplies have not been properly delivered to Gaza, and the number of deaths due to malnutrition continues to rise. The Guardian, citing data from the Gaza Health Ministry, reported that since the commencement of record-keeping in October 2023, the number of deaths from starvation has risen to 227, of which 103 were children.

Meanwhile, although the scale and intensity of airstrikes on Gaza have increased, there are still no signs of Israeli ground forces advancing further into Gaza City.
