In the past 24 hours, the scale of position liquidations in the cryptocurrency perpetual futures market reached $531 million.
According to CoinGlass data on the 18th (local time), a total of $531 million in futures positions were liquidated in the cryptocurrency market over the past 24 hours. Major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) showed a downward trend, causing most of the liquidations to be of long (buy) positions. Specifically, long positions saw $417.17 million in liquidations, while short (sell) positions accounted for $85.93 million.
The largest liquidated asset was Ethereum. Ethereum saw $196.04 million in liquidations over 24 hours—of which $156.38 million were long positions and $39.66 million were short positions. Bitcoin ranked second during the same period, with $104.58 million liquidated. The scale of long and short liquidations were $98.49 million and $6.09 million, respectively.
As of 3:33 PM, on Binance’s USDT market, Bitcoin and Ethereum were trading at $115,157 and $4,260, down 2.39% and 4.67%, respectively, compared to 24 hours ago.
