According to NL Nico, a media outlet specializing in virtual assets (cryptocurrencies), on the 18th (local time), Lib Work announced via a press release, "We plan to purchase Bitcoin worth 500 million yen (approximately $3.4 million) this year."

It also explained, "This is an effort to hedge against inflation risks and expand overseas growth opportunities."
