Circle President Visits Korea... 'Series of Meetings' with Four Major Financial Groups

The four major domestic financial groups are set to have consecutive meetings with Heath Tarbert, the President of Circle (USDC). Some groups will be represented by their top executives, including chairmen, for these meetings.
According to the financial industry on the 21st, Jin Ok-dong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, will meet with Tarbert, the President of Circle, on the afternoon of the 22nd. A Shinhan Financial Group official said, "We regard stablecoins and other digital assets as future growth drivers for the group and are making all-out efforts to secure a leading position," adding, "Chairman Jin’s meeting is in the same context."
Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, will also meet with President Tarbert on the same day. At KB Financial Group, Lee Chang-kwon, Vice Chairman overseeing the digital division, and at Woori Financial Group, Jeong Jin-wan, President of Woori Bank, are each preparing to meet with Circle.
The four major financial groups are also preparing for meetings with Tether (USDT). On this day (the 21st), President Jeong is meeting with a Tether official responsible for compliance oversight. It is also reported that Hana Financial Group plans to hold a meeting with Tether on the 26th.
