According to foreign media on the 25th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he "maintains a good relationship with Chairman Kim Jong Un of North Korea and will meet again someday."

President Trump made these remarks at an executive order ceremony held at the White House in Washington, D.C., in response to a question regarding "how his relationship with North Korean leaders, following that with Russia, affects diplomacy."

He reflected, "Kim Jong Un has been very kind to me," adding, "We held two summits, and we got along very well." He continued, "I know him better than you do. I am the person who knows him best, after his younger sister (Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of the Workers' Party of Korea)."

President Trump further remarked, "His younger sister knows him very well. I shouldn't say I really like him. If I say that, the fake news media will attack me."

Additionally, he emphasized, "If Hillary Clinton had won the presidential election, there would have been a nuclear war," and, "A nuclear war will not occur, and I will meet Kim Jong Un again someday."

President Trump is scheduled to hold a South Korea–U.S. summit meeting with President Lee Jae-myung this afternoon.
