Hut8, a US-based Bitcoin (BTC) mining company, has announced an expansion of its mining capacity.

According to a report by the cryptocurrency-focused media outlet Cointelegraph on the 27th (local time), Hut8 stated in an official announcement, "We are building four new mining sites in regions such as Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois, where energy demand is increasing most rapidly, and plan to expand our capacity by more than 1.5 gigawatts (GW) to more than double the size of our platform."

According to OneSafe data, major US mining companies such as CleanSpark, Core Scientific, and Gryphon Digital Mining account for 75.4% of the global Bitcoin mining hashrate.
