World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a digital asset (cryptocurrency) finance firm founded and led by the Trump family and close associates, will officially participate as a co-host of the global digital asset conference 'Eastpoint: Seoul 2025'.
Eastpoint, held on September 22 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, is a private event co-hosted by Bloomingbit, the digital asset affiliate of Hankyung Media Group, the global web3 venture capital firm Hashed, and The Korea Economic Daily. Leaders of the global digital asset industry and senior officials from domestic and foreign governments, legislative bodies, companies and institutions will gather.
WLFI is a digital asset finance firm established under the leadership of President Trump and his three sons Donald Trump Jr., Eric and Barron, and among its founding members are Steve Witkoff (U.S. special envoy to the Middle East), a 40-year confidant of the president and real estate magnate, along with his sons Jack and Alex Witkoff.
Representing WLFI as a co-host of Eastpoint, Jack Witkoff, WLFI co-founder and CEO, will make his first visit to Korea to attend Eastpoint. Regarded as a next-generation leader closely connected to influential figures in the Trump administration, he will appear as a speaker at Eastpoint to share WLFI's core business direction.
The Eastpoint event will see broad participation from White House officials who lead U.S. digital asset policy and major global web3 leaders, including Harry Jung, White House deputy director; Bo Hines, former White House virtual asset advisory chair (now Tether U.S. strategic advisor); and Caroline Pham, Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), who will appear as speakers and panelists. Senior representatives from the two major global stablecoin issuers, Tether and Circle, will also attend to present their business strategies.
Domestically, lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties such as Min Byung-deok, Kim Jae-seop and Lee Jun-seok, as well as representatives from the four major commercial banks — Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana and Woori — major securities firms, asset managers and conglomerates will all participate.
Overseas participants include Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek, Japanese financial giant SMBC Nikko Securities, Mastercard, PayPal Ventures and others. In addition, major domestic and international crypto exchanges such as Upbit, Bithumb and Binance will all attend. Sui participated as the title sponsor.
A core program of Eastpoint, a private roundtable session, will also be held. Senior figures from each sector will gather in groups of 5~6 to engage in frank and strategic conversations instead of formal presentations. With no designated presenters and all attendees participating as discussants, the format is expected to serve as a strategic forum where parties facing complex policy, capital and technology interests seek joint solutions.
Jack Witkoff, WLFI CEO, said, "We are greatly honored to co-host the Eastpoint event. It will be a meaningful occasion to share WLFI's business direction."
Kim Sanha, CEO of Bloomingbit, said, "We are honored and deeply gratified that WLFI, a key player in U.S. digital asset finance, is joining as a co-host. It will be an opportunity for Korea to become a central stage for global digital asset discussions alongside the United States."
Kim Seojun, CEO of Hashed, said, "Blockchain and digital assets are no longer confined to a single area of finance. They are becoming a new language and tool that can redefine the order of politics, the economy and society as a whole," adding, "Eastpoint is a forum where policymakers, financial institutions and tech companies from various countries gather to discuss how to interpret this language and what order to create. The fact that Korea is opening that central stage shows that we are at the heart of the change to come."
